been back for a little over a week. the weather has been miserable with the exception of a single day, which was a more than welcomed change. sunshine seems to be a rarity.

began my last part of training on the 5th of this month, and i'm going to class during the nighttime, so it's been a remarkably relaxed variation compared to what i'm used to. lots of manual reading, definitely.

just 11 more weeks of this place. can't wait to finish. it is incredibly frustrating to put your whole life on hold for half a year, in case anyone was wondering.

patience is a virtue i simply don't have.

new years' celebrations always put me in a retrospective mood for as long as i can remember. i have a lot i want to say about 2008. but i won't. in a nutshell, it was a terrible year for a lot of people, and unfortunately the taint of it will carry into the first part of the next.

had a great time. always so much to do, so many happy people, why can't everyday be like it?

aside from that, tomorrow i go back on a plane, back to work, back to my duty station to do something i don't want to do. it was a fantastic break, and i don't want it to end. so many memories, so much accomplished, so incredibly much to look forward to when i finally get to the point in my life where i can say i'm finished.
